I caught my wife cheating on me. When I was engaged to her, she admitted that she cheated on her first husband and cheated on her fiancee before me. I had heard the phrase "once a cheater always a cheater" but somehow I felt that I was different - that because she was open and honest about that she was really in love and would not cheat on me. Somehow I thought I was special and didn't really think that those men were in committed relationships with her and they probably thought they were too special to be cheated on too.
My wife who was in her 40's was hanging around a guy, let's call him Danny. He was mid-20's and guy who worked out at her gym. My said she met him because he had "nice abs" and thought it would be great if he could show her some exercises to a tighter stomach. She said he was just a kid so don't worry. They were hanging around a lot. We had small parties at the house and she always invited him over. He was shy and quite frankly I thought he was ugly but there something about him that bothered me. After a few weeks he didn't seem to be so shy anymore. A kid who didn't drink and was supposed very religious all of sudden started to have a few beers and seem more confidant. My wife and I had been having a lot of trouble, always fighting. As club rat, I picked up a lot girls and the one thing I learned very well was body language. Those body "tells" always told me if I was in the game or not if I was trying to hook up. The body language that my wife and I had was awful. She always had with her legs and body pointed away from me if we watched TV together on the sofa. One night at one of our parties, she was playing a karaoke game with him and they sat on the sofa together sitting very close angling their bodies toward each other. At the end of the song, the leaned in together shoulder to shoulder and smiled. I knew then that something was very wrong but she had conditioned me to think that I was too jealous and always accusing her of being up to something so I second guessed myself.
6 months went by and my step-daughter would tell me how much my wife, her and Danny were having together when I got home from work. I told my wife that I didn't like her hanging around so much with another man. I was told that I was controlling and being manipulative and that if I was going to be married to her that I would have to trust her. One day one of my wife's relatives told me that my wife was cheating on me and that she has been doing it for quite some time. I told the relative that I didn't believe them even though I knew deep down inside that the accusation was most likely true. The relative told me over and over again over a week that my wife was cheating and that I should hire a private investigator if I did not believe them. Then once day, when I came home, my step-daughter keep singing "Mommy was kissing Danny...Mommy was kissing Danny." My wife who heard this started yelling at her daughter to stop making up things and to shut up. She told me that her daughter was lying. Her daughter who was only 6 years old kept repeating it under threat of being spanked by my wife. My wide said she was making it up. I knew the girl made up stories and often thanked me for buying a cat which I never bought. I knew the girl was saying the truth but I did not want to face the truth. If I knew she was cheating for sure then I would have to file for divorce. I still loved me wife. This was my first marriage and I never wanted to by like my parents. My mom married twice and divorced twice. My dad married three times but the third one has stuck for over 20 years. I did not want to be divorced. I would rather bury my head in the sand than be divorced.
Months later my wife's camera was lying on the bathroom counter. I bought the camera for our wedding day and stay in Las Vegas. It was 3 o'clock in the morning and something told me to look through the pictures. She had never used another camera to my knowledge and the pictures contained over a years worth of memories form our wedding day, romantic weekend trips, family barbecues, photos that my daughter took of her dolls...a photo of my wife kissing Danny. I freaked. I stayed cool that night thinking about what I was going to say. The next day over the phone I asked my wife if she was cheating on me. No was the answer. I asked if she ever kissed Danny. No was the answer. I said I have seen the photos on her camera kissing Danny. I told her I was divorcing her. She called me back insisting that she was not kissing Danny in the photo. It was a camera angle trick meant to look like they were kissing because Danny wanted to make his girlfriend jealous. They had taken the picture at the local junior college he attended. I pointed out that the photo had a large no smoking sign next to a flat screen TV and the curtains on the window in the background were boxed curtains - very nice and highly unlikely to be at any school. She admitted it was taken in a hotel room. She said he and a bunch of friends had a room and they all went to the Indian Casino to swim at the resort pool and have drinks. She cried saying she would never cheat on me. After a very long talk at the house I told her that I believed her but I really didn't. I still loved her. I need any excuse any possibility that just maybe I was wrong - a one in a million shot that I was wrong was all I need to suspend disbelief.
Every night for months I thought about the photo of her kissing Danny. Our marriage was growing colder - more distant. At Thanksgiving Dinner that year she thanked God for her kids and parents and named everyone but me the husband. I kept thinking about that damned photo. Then it hit me. In order to take fake kiss picture there must have been several photos they took for trial and error that must have been deleted. And that hotel room, what other photos did she delete. When we got married, she and I took a bunch of sex pictures together but she was quick to delete them after we looked them over. I wondered if she did the same with Danny. That night I did a Google search and came across CNET.com and came across a free program called Convar recovery. All you had to do was take the memory chip out of a camera, cell phone, etc and put in the chip slot of your computer, run the program and it would pull up every single file on that memory chip including deleted photos. It took and hour for the program to run but it worked. It pulled up every photo ever taken that camera including the deleted sex pictures from out wedding night. I searched and then found heartbreak, anger, disgust. They didn't just kiss in that hotel room. There were pictures of her in the hotel room with Danny naked kissing, her legs open showing her pussy, his dick on her pussy, him grabbing her tits - her ass. I wanted to kill someone. I woke my wife up and told her to get the fuck out of the house. She insisted that they did not have sex that she took the photos to make his girlfriend jealous. Your a married woman I said. Your my wife. She said they did not have sex. I pointed out that her wedding ring was off and that the time stamp on the photos were taken over three hours - kind overkill on the pics even if I believed her bullshit story. Over a period of days, she said she made a mistake - she never had sex with him and when I asked when was the last time she saw him she said it was the summer when the pics were taken. It was now in the winter and even though I did not believe her I miraculously took her back.
Weeks later I looked through the pics again. I had only been looking at the naked pics and nothing else. I looked further and found pictures of them with my daughter on two separate trips to Disneyland. The punk kid was broke and I was paying for their "family" trips while I was hard a work. She, of course, quit her job as soon as we got married. Apparently since I had a six figure salary that was supposed to be enough for us. She spent money like water and I discovered restaurant receipts on the Disney days. They were living it up on my sweat. I saw pics of them that were only 2 weeks old at my step-daughter's school. She said they were not together. That she wanted him away and he was stalking her and showing up everywhere at my step-daughter's school, at her gym, at our home. We went to court and got a restraining order. She had me on her side. I was defending my wife. It was us against him. We got close again but during angry phone calls and emails to him, I discovered that while she had told me nothing about him, she told him everything about me - my finances, relationships with family, health issues. She betrayed me telling every secret that I had. They had been having an affair for 1-1/2 years and we had only been married 2 years. I still felt that my wife was the victim and that she was now faithful to me. That turned out to not be the whole story.
